Jake's journey into the workforce began with owning a grooming salon in Venice, FL, where he spent three wonderful years providing top-notch grooming services. Unfortunately, Jake had to close the shop to take care of his mother due to health concerns, but the experience taught him invaluable lessons in business and customer care.
Jake has a wide array of previous work experience, includes animal care, pet grooming, working as a restaurant cook, electrical and plumbing work, and retail.
In his plumbing experience, Jake installed emergency sprinkler systems, including working on the Braves Stadium in Florida. As an electrician, he did extensive low voltage work, converting from fluorescent to LED lighting and even doing complete rewiring of houses.
In his free time, Jake enjoy crafts, reading, writing, cooking, and graphic design for illustrating short stories. He also had the pleasure of volunteering in libraries in Florida while I was in school. Spurred by his love of books, Jake often worked extended hours or extra days because he had a connection with the librarians and staff.
Jake's dream is to one day own a bookstore that provides books and trinkets to avid readers. He envisions a place where people can relax and connect with one another. He is even working towards completing several short stories, complete with illustrations.
